The EU published new guidelines for removability and replaceability requirements under the Batteries Regulation. Some progress was made, but a huge opportunity was missed for smartphone and tablet batteries!

Textiles and footwear are included as priority products to be regulated under ESPR. The EU JRC started a study on ecodesign for apparel, but footwear should be given equal priority!
